Hi Hans,
Thanks for your suggestion. I got your script to successfully start all the zimbra services by commenting out the sudo -u zimbra /opt/zimbra/bin/zmcontrol start and putting in sudo /etc/init.d/zimbra start. I would have used the script on the Zimbra forum post but I don't need a complex script. My backup ran flawlessly.

Hi paxton

I suggest you use the script described on <a href="http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administrators/15275-solved-yet-another-backup-script-community-version.html" rel="nofollow">this Zimbra forum post</a> instead of my script.

I tried using the script on Ubuntu 8.04 Zimbra FOSS, but ran into a problem. Everything works except when the Zimbra services start back up. The logger and logswatch fail. When I run a zmcontrol status the following services are not running, logger, zmlogswatchctl, and snmp. Any ideas?
